The governing board works closely with the hospital's administrative and medical staff to ensure Sutter Surgical Hospital continues to provide the highest level of care available.

    Randy Vogel, M.D.

    Randall R. Vogel, M.D., is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who has been a partner in North Valley Orthopaedic & Hand Surgery for the past 23 years.

    Dr. Vogel received his medical degree from Emory Medical School in Atlanta, GA, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory University affiliated hospitals. Prior to medical school he graduated from Claremont Men’s College cum laude. Dr. Vogel is board certified in orthopedics.

    His medical interests include joint replacement surgery and sports medicine. In addition, Dr. Vogel is the team physician for Yuba College Athletics and volunteers his time covering their athletic events and championships.

    Dr. Vogel resides in the Yuba City area with his wife, Audrey, has two grown children, and is an avid golfer.

    Dan Flores - Secretary

    Dan Flores Mr. Flores is the CEO of Cambridge Career College, a provider of focused educational programs in business, technology, and health care that prepare students for success in the workplace. Mr. Flores operates Sierra Nevada Investment Group, a business and real estate investment company. He is a real estate developer with holdings in several states. Mr. Flores is the owner of four fitness franchises located in California, Ohio, and North Carolina, an automotive franchise in Chico and a Coldwell Banker Commercial Franchise in Yuba City. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco.

    Mr. Flores is active on several community boards and organizations, including The Family Intervention Team for Sutter County; The Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce; The Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce; Yuba City Friends of Parks and Recreations; The Alliance for Hispanic Advancement; The League of United Latin American Citizens; The Yuba-Sutter united Way Board; The California Association of Private Secondary Schools; Kiwanis. He is the Chairman of the Board for Umpqua Community Bank and the Chairman of Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation.

    Vincent Hamilton, M.D.

    Board Certified General and Thoracic Surgeon, part owner in Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley

    Vincent HamiltonDr. Hamilton grew up in Yuba City and is an avid golfer, winning a scholarship from Yuba City High School golf team. He attended Tulane University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He completed his medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis where he was awarded the Merck Manual Award for Surgery. He completed his internship and surgery residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Hamilton returned to Yuba City in 1977 and joined Drs. Dematei and Rosson. He has been Chief of Staff at Sutter County Hospital, Fremont Medical Center and Fremont-Rideout Health Group. He has been a fellow member of the American College of Surgeons since 1981 and was president of the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa Medical Society in 1984. Today, Dr. Hamilton sits on the Executive Committee, Budget Committee and SSHNV Board, and for many years has continued his role as Trauma Director at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Hamilton has three grown children, two grandchildren and enjoys golfing.

    Robert H. Wright, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.S.

    Robert WrightDr. Robert Wright is the Director of Sutter Surgical Hospital-North Valley; Director/Vice President, Sutter Physicians Insurance Coalition, Inc and a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Wright is the former managing partner of Marysville Medical Group, which he joined in 1972. In 1993, he was instrumental in the affiliation of Marysville Medical Group with Sutter Health and the formation of Sutter North Medical Group.

    He completed his under-graduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley and received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from Bowman Grey School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He entered active duty with the United States Army Medical Department where he completed 34 years of combined active and reserve service including four years of Urology Residency. Upon retirement from the military he received the Legion of Merit from the President of the United States.

    Dr, Wright holds an “A” Professional Designator awarded by the Surgeon General of the Army and is a former Associate Clinical Professor of Urology at the University of California at Davis. Dr. Wright presently practices part-time doing outpatient Urology.
