    employees Relay For Life yard sale fundraiser a success!    05-19-09


    Yuba City, CA – Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley (SSHNV) employees held a yard sale (small flea market) to raise money for Relay For Life on Saturday, May 16. The yard sale was located outside at 455 Plumas Blvd (corner or Plumas Blvd & C Street) across from Yuba City’s Farmer’s Market raised $1,000.

    All items at the yard sale were donated by employees and their families. Pulled pork sandwiched prepared by Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley’s chef was available for a small donation. Sutter Surgical Hospital – North Valley “Prevention Pit Stop Team Captain” David Cooke, SSHNV employee says, “The employees and the community stepped up and made this fundraiser a success. Our employees are excited and believe in helping the community and because we have all been touched by cancer, this is a great way to help support the cause.” Cooke and the rest of the SSHNV employees along with Toni Morris, CEO will be participating in Yuba-Sutter’s Relay for Life on June 13 & 14.
